Is the Canadian Work Permit necessary?

Yes, if you want to work in Canada and don’t have Canadian citizenship. The Canadian Work Permit helps you work legally without any hassle, and that’s what truly makes it such a different option.

The LMIA or Labour Market Impact Assessment is a document that you get from the ESDC and it allows employers to receive temporary workers. This LMIA is delivered for a specific timeline, so your Canadian Work Permit needs to be valid for that amount of time.

What do you need to apply for the Canadian Work Permit?

There are multiple different requirements here. They request a copy of the employment offer, proof you have the qualification, 2 ID photos, the LMIA copy, and an offer of employment. On top of that, you also need to complete multiple forms.

These forms include IMM1295, IMM 5475, IMM5488, IMM5645, IMM 5409, and IMM 546. Aside from that, you also need to complete the Schedule 1 application for the Temporary Resident Visa.

Other consideration

You will need other documents too, such as proof of employment in Canada, proof of relationship, but also additional documents based on the territory, certified copies, translations, and medical examinations.

In the case of medical examinations, these will vary based on the location. Biometrics are also important, and you have to take them as soon as you submitted the application and paid the biometrics fees.

Conclusion

When you apply for the Canadian Work Permit and jobs in Canada, your application has to be very accurate.
